Violinist and creator Simone Slattery is one of the most versatile and adventurous Australian musicians of her generation, with a passion for music from a wide range of eras. She performs across Australia and internationally as both soloist and ensemble member, holds a PhD from the University of Adelaide, and is a Churchill, Create SA and ANAM Ian Potter Fellow.
Her performances across multiple genres have been reviewed as "virtuosic" and "infinitely expressive". A co-founder of the award-winning Bowerbird Collective, Simone uses her diverse creative toolkit of performance, curation, composition, and sound and visual design to create new performance works, festivals and ARIA charting albums that weave new emotional and philosophical connections to the natural world. Simone’s compositions have featured in live performance, radio, film, exhibitions and installations, and her artistic creations described as "stunning".
