Soprano's emotional comeback in Tasmania
Classical soprano Jacqueline Ward felt like a COVID refugee when she moved to Tasmania during Sydney's second lockdowns. The virus had twice delayed a performance comeback after recovery from spinal injuries suffered in a car crash with her mum and baby son.
This week she finally made an emotional return to the stage with Tasmania's baroque stars, Van Diemen's Band, at the Burnie Arts Centre, as part of the pataway/Burnie Lunchbox Concert series.
ABC Northern Tasmania's Rick Eaves spoke with Jacqueline as she rehearsed at home before the show - and also couldn't resist a chat with the very charming 'threenager' Wycliffe!
