Two stockings for the price of one
It’s not every year that you hang out a stocking on Christmas Eve – only to wake up the next morning and find TWO of them, filled to the brim!
But that’s exactly where Van Diemen’s Band may find itself at the end of 2024, thanks to an anonymous donor.
Our ‘Santa’ has invoked what we call the ‘second stocking’ provision: they will match donations received during our Christmas 2024 fundraising drive, dollar for dollar, up to $50,000.
In other words, anything you are able to gift us this Christmas will instantly be doubled by an equal contribution in an adjacent magic stocking. This like-for-like formula applies until the total of both reaches $100,000 – the target we would like to achieve this year.
The prospect of your dollar becoming two dollars will make our musical Christmas wishes become a reality in 2025.
