The Tuesday Lunchbox Concert Series returns to nipaluna/Hobart in November and December.

Curated by VDB’s artistic director, Julia Fredersdorff, our immensely popular lunchtime concert series returns to the Hobart Town Hall for the final series of 2024.

Escape the hustle and bustle and step into an oasis of calm listening to beautiful music in a casual and welcoming setting, with an eclectic program of music spanning a rich variety of genres and styles - all for the price of a sandwich!

Concert #1: Tuesday 5 November - Indra Hughes *SOLD OUT*

The magnificent Hobart Town Hall pipe organ takes centre stage in this thrilling recital by New Zealand-born organist Indra Hughes, now based in nipaluna/Hobart, featuring JS Bach's dramatic and thrilling Prelude & Fugue in A minor BWV 543 alongside works by Praetorius, Jongen, Handel and Widor. Concert #2: Tuesday 12 November - Martin Gester & Aline Zylberajch *LIMITED TICKETS AVAILABLE*

Two of France's leading historical keyboard players perform a program of 17th Century gems that showcase VDB's Kirschner chamber organ and Titus Crijnen harpsichord in a double-keyboard extravaganza.

This international collaboration sees historical harpist Maria Cleary perform on VDB's brand new Zampieri triple harp, with VDB Artistic Director Julia Fredersdorff.
