Step into the vibrant world of Baroque music, brought to life by some of Australia's finest period-instrument performers in a concert that is equal parts a meeting of musical minds and a reunion of colleagues and friends.
VDB's Artistic Director, Julia Fredersdorff (Baroque violin), is joined by Karina Schmitz (Baroque viola), Laura Vaughan (viola da gamba), Simon Martyn-Ellis (theorbo), Donald Nicolson (harpsichord) and Simon Rickard (Baroque bassoon, musette).
Badinage showcases each of these wonderful musicians as they perform small ensemble and solo repertoire from Telemann, Marais, Boismortier and more, demonstrating both their instrument and the artistry they bring to it.
Experience world-class musicianship in an atmosphere that's warm, welcoming, and wonderfully unpretentious, where the audience is as much a part of the conversation as the musicians on stage.
Whether you're a lifelong devotee of the Baroque or simply curious to hear what all the fuss is about, you'll leave with your ears opened and your spirits lifted.
