Baroque Academy Participants Concert

Over the March long weekend, musicians from across Australia are coming together in Nipaluna/Hobart to develop their skills with the artists of Van Diemen’s Band, during our 2026 Baroque Academy. 

This free concert will feature Academy participants sharing and exploring the Baroque performance skills gained and honed over the past few days. Hear dances from Lully's tragédie en musique, Armide, performed by Baroque orchestra, alongside small ensemble works by Rameau, Muffat, Dowland and more.

In true Van Diemen’s Band style this relaxed performance will combine artistic excellence with a fun, casual and supportive atmosphere.

This concert is free, but registrations are required.
