Our immensely popular Lunchbox Concerts return to pataway/Burnie for a second season in 2024!

Enjoy a tempting menu of diverse short-firm concerts held in your lunch break. Escape the hustle and bustle and step into an oasis of calm listening to beautiful music in a casual and welcoming setting, with an eclectic program of music spanning a rich variety of genres and styles - all for the price of a sandwich.

CONCERT #1: THURSDAY 7 NOVEMBER - Martin Gester & Aline Zylberajch  (harpsichord, organ | France)

Two of France's leading historical keyboard players perform a program of 17th Century gems that showcase VDB's Kirschner chamber organ and Titus Crijnen harpsichord in a double-keyboard extravaganza.

CONCERT #2: THURSDAY 14 NOVEMBER - Alexey Yemtsov  (piano | Ukraine/Australia)

An artist who wins hearts and minds wherever he plays, Ukraine-born lutruwita/Tasmania-based pianist Alexey Yemtsov plays a program featuring Chopin's Fantasie in F minor Op.49 alongside works by Scriabin and Schubert.

CONCERT #3: THURSDAY 21 NOVEMBER - Maria Cleary (harp | Ireland) & Julia Fredersdorff (Baroque violin)

This international collaboration sees historical harpist Maria Cleary perform on VDB's brand new Zampieri triple harp, with VDB Artistic Director Julia Fredersdorff.
